The current reigning Miss Bikini Universe Singapore, Feline Wong, has been asked to vacate her title after having been deemed to have violated some of their terms.

The shock decision comes after Wong apparently flouted some of the rules set up by Miss Bikini Universe.

Here they are.

In case you can't read it, here are the three rules Wong allegedly flouted.

1. The contestant is not allowed to make slanderous statements against the organiser, staff, judges, hosts, sponsors, other contestants or any other individuals associated with the event.

2. The contestant will discuss with the organisers any concerns regarding the rules, regulations, policies and all other matters relating to the event.

3. The contestant is not allowed to interact with other sponsors aforementioned during the event without prior permission.

For breaking those rules, Wong was given till October 8, yesterday, to return these items.

And just to clarify the cheque board is not actually a cheque — Wong insists in her post that she has not been paid yet, so item number 3 refers specifically to this:

Wong spoke about her title-stripping in a Facebook post on October 7:

Specifically, here is what she claims she was stripped of the title for.

"Just to paint a clearer picture for you guys, I was actually stripped of the title of Miss Bikini Universe 2018 because I asked for updates about the prize and the organiser felt offended and decided to de-crown me. Can meh?

I've put in so much effort in this pageant and now that I've won the title, they decided to strip me off my title just because the event organiser was unhappy that I asked for updates about the prize that I am entitled to and said that I am rude for doing so! Therefore, based on my attitude, I am not fit to be the winner of Miss Bikini Universe Singapore 2018"

Wong posted a follow-up post on October 10, with uncensored pictures of the conversation.

Which seemed to indicate one of her issues being the organisers not awarding her the prize money (of what appears to be S$1,000) yet, two weeks after presenting her with a giant cheque board when she won the contest.

The screenshots also appear to indicate that the contest had a shortage of suitable candidates, and Wong stepped up by joining the competition and roping in her friends.

While Miss Singapore Bikini Universe did not respond directly to either posts, they did place an update on their post crowning Wong champion.

In it, they promised the announcement of a new champion on October 8, but hasn't seem to have announced it to the general public.

Which brings us to the most important question.

What the heck is Miss Bikini Universe Singapore?

A cursory Google search reveals that there has been one other Miss Bikini Universe, all the way back in 2014.

So, this contest is either an Olympiad style event, with a new Miss Bikini Universe crowned every four years, like the World Cup or the Olympics, or this is a completely unrelated incarnation from the 2014 iteration.

The contest appears to have taken place at a beach, with some familiar categories, like the evening gown, and bikini portions of a pageant.

But they also appear to have incorporated an activewear segment as well.

In response to the recent attention around the dethroning of this year’s Miss Bikini Universe Singapore (MBUSG) 2018 title, I would like to clarify that the decision to dethrone Ms Feline Wong is due to a breach of the MBSUG Agreement Terms and Conditions.
