Specs

Let's get the most pressing matter out of the way.

Here's what the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro cameras are made of.

Both phones come with the Huawei style triple rear-camera setup first popularised by the P20 Pro.

The Mate 20 comes with a 12MP primary sensor, 16MP wide angle sensor, and a 8MP telephoto lens.

The real heavyweight though is the Mate 20 Pro.

It comes with a 40MP standard lens, 20MP ultra wide angle lens, and an 8MP telephoto lens.

Other specs.

Both operate on the Android 9 Pie, and comes with the Kirin 980 processor.

While the Mate 20 Pro is slightly larger.

They both weigh about the same: 188g to 189g.

Both phones come with 128GB of storage, but with the ability to expand to 256GB with the use of a nano memory card.

The Mate 20 comes with a 6GB RAM, and the Mate 20 Pro also comes with a 6GB RAM.

The resolution of the Mate 20 Pro though is quite a bit better, with it's 3120 x 1440 Fullview display edging out the Mate 20's 2244 x 1080 Dewdrop display.

The Mate 20 has a 4,000 mAh battery, while the Mate 20 Pro comes with a 4,200 mAh battery.

Price and availability

To mark its debut, Huawei is giving away a gift set (worth up to S$470) with every purchase of the Huawei Mate 20 or Mate 20 Pro at Causeway Point on Oct. 27.

The recommended retail price of the phones are S$998 and S$1,348 respectively.
