When news of Capital 21's opening date was released, it was met with much anticipation:

Even photos of its incomplete state got plenty of interest:

Complaints flooded Facebook page

Unfortunately, since the mall started operations on Oct. 17, complaints from patrons have also started flooding the establisment's Facebook page.

Main gripes include a dusty environment, an unfinished mall, vacant shops, flooded toilets, general uncleanliness, and at least one non-functioning lift.

This patron complained about the unfinished state of the mall and the dismal condition of the car park, saying that the dust had even changed the colour of her tyres.

She also mentioned that the playgrounds were filthy, and no parent would want their children playing in such an environment.

Even the staff and workers were embarrassed, and could only smile politely at the mall-goers.

In response to some of these queries, the mall's management replied with the following:

State of the mall

"Thank you for your support"

In light of all the criticisms, the mall has thanked everyone for their comments and explained that they are at the soft launch stage.

While they will strive to improve standards, they hope that everyone can continue to shower them with love.

Their Facebook post also comes with decent photos of the mall.

 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
