Go-Ang Pratunam Chicken Rice, a Michelin Bib Gourmand recipient from Bangkok, is set to open a shop at Nex shopping mall in Singapore on Oct. 20, 2018.

The new shop will open at the mall's basement, beside Koi, replacing ThaiExpress.

Popular in Bangkok

Located near Platinum Fashion Mall in Bangkok, the eatery is popular among tourists.

Prices are affordable by Thailand's standards, but do not expect the same in Singapore.

A plate of Go-Ang Pratunam chicken rice is 40 baht in Bangkok, or about S$1.70.

It comes with poached chicken, cucumber slices and chicken soup.

The extra fragrant and tasty rice is the main draw. The vinegar and soy sauce is known to bring out the flavour of the chicken, which retains its natural flavour.

Other dishes there cost an average of S$2.50 each, which include Chinese soups and gizzards.

Go-Ang Pratunam’s Singapore outlet is managed by The Minor Food Group Singapore, which is the team behind Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe and ThaiExpress.
