If you've been to Raffles Place, you'd probably recognise this fat bird statue.
Here it is.
This is a statue called The Fat Pigeon (or The Bird), and it's sculpted by Colombian artist Fernando Botero.
It has appeared on many a tourist's photo, due to its cute and stout appearance.
The sculpture "landed" in UOB plaza in 1990, and according to The Straits Times, represents the" joy of living and the power of optimism".
Neat.
Became famous
Now, users on popular American blogging site Tumblr have discovered the existence of the hulking statue.
Here's the original post from the blog todaysbird, which has gotten over 17,000 reblogs:

In case you can't see the post, this is what it says:
theres this statue in singapore that was created by fernando botero and its just this giant fat bird and i think he should officially be added to the ‘wonders of the world’
Dope.
Here's what others had to say about the bird:
Also, did you know the bird has an anus carved into it?
Still, the most important part of the bird is its massive size.
Eighth wonder of the world, here we come.
