Update: LA Comedy Live has issued a statement via their Facebook page on July 27. They said they were only informed of the sudden change in set time in early July, and Sasha Velour's team was not cooperative with providing a detailed program rundown.

They also claimed that technical issues that arose during the show, such as delayed outfit changes, were because Sasha arrived at 7.45pm, which gave them no time for rehearsals.

Drag queen fans are up in arms.

On July 25, a drag queen performance featuring Sasha Velour, who is the Season nine winner of the Emmy-award winning reality television series Rupaul's Drag Race, had been advertised as a 75-minute show.

The actual performance, however, saw Sasha appearing for only 25 minutes.

The performance was brought in by LA Comedy Live.

Angry responses

Upon the performance's conclusion, angry posts from multiple Facebook users flooded the events page, Sasha Velour with Special Guest Dearis Doll - Live in SG (R18), expressing their outrage that the show's duration has been misrepresented and complaints hitting out at the exorbitant pricing.

Pre-show performance turned out to be longer than actual performance

One of the biggest complaints to emerge was that the pre-show performances turned out to be longer than the actual show itself.

For fans, this was particularly egregious especially since LA Comedy Live's advertising primarily featured Sasha.

The pre-show saw performances by Dearis Doll, a drag queen from the Thai spinoff of the original American series, Drag Race Thailand, and NORIS'tar, a local drag queen.

The pre-show also had a "best-dressed segment" where members of the audience who dressed up were encouraged to come on stage and do a catwalk.

This segment was a follow-up to a tweet posted two days before the show on July 23 by LA Comedy Live, which stated that the best-dressed members of the audience would stand a chance to win tickets for an upcoming show featuring another drag queen from Rupaul's Drag Race, Shangela.

Needless to say, many fans felt extremely misled and felt that the quality of the pre-show rendered the costs of the ticket unjustified.

Last minute email sent out to inform about the change

Adding salt to the wounds was the alleged dissemination of an email two days before the performance that stated Sasha would perform for only 30 minutes.

It was an email that not everyone appeared to have received.

Some fans also pointed out how the advertising for the duration of the performance seemed to have been altered from its original stated timing.

A quick search via the internet archiving tool Wayback Machine reveals that there were indeed changes to the show's description.

It went from a "75-minute one-woman show" in May to a "30-minute cabaret style set" just a little less than two weeks before the actual performance in July.

First time this has happened

It should be noted that this is the first time such an uproar has occurred as LA Comedy Live had previously organised successful performances by previous contestants of RuPaul's Drag Race such as Bianca Del Rio, Naomi Smalls and Kim Chi, which probably led to more confusion from fans who had attended previous shows.

LA Comedy Live has yet to respond to the outcry so far.

In the meantime, Sasha has released her own statement on her Facebook page:
