Pezzo fans got a bit of a scare when the official Twitter account of the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS) tweeted the following in response to a query regarding Pezzo's halal certification status:
Salaam Fatimah. Nope, Pezzo is no longer Halal-certified. https://t.co/2O80IVq5wm

That's right, the pizza chain is supposedly no longer Halal-certified.
MUIS later clarified the reasoning behind it.
Pezzo's Halal certificate has expired and we have yet to receive any Halal application. https://t.co/Iy72JyrBzF

The sudden news was met with a lot of confusion.
Pezzo Responds
Mothership.sg has contacted Pezzo, and they have since responded with the following statement:
We are currently in the midst of renewing our Halal certification. Please rest assured that our processes and ingredients remain the same.
This was also reflected in a tweet by Pezzo's head chef, Sazali Ahmad, which was also mentioned in several of Pezzo's replies to the public.
Assalammualaikum Saya Sazali Ahmad, head chef of Pezzo Pizza. Kita dalam process memperbarui halal cert kita. Bahan semuanya sama dan dijiamin halal.

Here's the translation of the head chef's statement:
May peace be upon you, I am Sazali Ahmad, head chef of Pezzo Pizza. We are in the process of renewing our halal cert. All of our ingredients remain the same and are certified halal.
Since April
MUIS later detailed Pezzo's certification process in greater detail.
Pezzo's certificate had apparently expired since April 2018.
Here's hoping that the certificate will be settled soon.
