With so many eateries coming up with Modern Singaporean cuisine (think local dishes reimagined), we decided it’s time we create our own menu.

And what better way to do this than with one of Singaporeans’ most loved dishes -- chicken rice.

What you’re about to see is a well-thought-out menu that explores every component of chicken rice, executed in various forms.

Enjoy.

Let us start off the meal with a light appetiser that’s sure to tantalise your tastebuds.

Prelude

Green diamond of refreshing cucumber quadrangles and farm-raised coriander. Served with shoyu sauce fermented from Chizhi beans

Now that your sense of taste has been awakened, let us lead you to the main event.

Entrée

Burger King Hainanese chicken rice burger

Chicken thigh flame-grilled to tender perfection, enveloped between two toasted sesame seed buns. Accompanied with crunchy lettuce leaves and a housemade ginger reduction sauce

Served with a side of chicken rice crisps, and fragrant chicken rice tea for a smooth finish

To end this feast on a daring note, we bring you an imaginative dessert that’s both sweet and savoury.

Finale

Hand-blended, 48-hour slow-frozen Hainanese chicken rice sorbet, topped with the same farm-raised coriander to bring your meal full circle

Thank you for going on this chicken rice journey with us, we hope you enjoyed your meal.

Of all the items in the menu above, the only one we are serious about is the Burger King Hainanese chicken rice burger.

It’s the only thing we dared to try (and actually liked).
