In a follow-up to Shin Min Daily News (SMDN) coverage of Mediacorp's Hong Huifang's "break up" with Pan Lingling, more details about Hong's WhatsApp rant has been released.

The 1,100-character WhatsApp message was addressed to Pan by name, but was copied to no less than 50 of their mutual friends and colleagues in the entertainment industry.

A copy of the message was sent to SMDN anonymously.

Excerpts from Hong's WhatsApp message

"I've decided that after I send out this message, we will be nothing more than colleagues [...]"

"Your words have again hurt Geping [Hong's husband] and brought back the pain he felt for our daughter. It's unsurprising that he would get so angry."

“Enough is enough, Pan Lingling, you better listen up. I have already made my stand very clear! Why is it that I still hear that you’re going around talking about them [...]”

“Don’t anger me further, if not I will send this to more people!”

According to SMDN, Hong also mentioned that Pan has overstepped her boundaries:

"I have a high threshold for tolerance, but you have repeatedly overstepped your boundaries over the years, so I must settle this debt that you!"

In the message, Hong allegedly mentioned three different incidents by Pan that have caused her family -- Zheng Geping (husband), Tay Ying (daughter), and Calvert Tay (son) -- undue pain.

Pan dragged Zheng Geping into her relationship woes

According to the SMDN report, Hong started off her rant with Pan's past relationship woes with Mediacorp actor Huang Shinan.

In it, Hong allegedly said that Pan dragged Zheng into her relationship problem with Huang and created a mess for everyone.

At that time, Hong had to step in to resolve the issue, but when Pan escaped unscathed, the latter did not even apologise for the mess she created.

Hong did not want to make things difficult for her friend then, and so decided not to pursue the issue.

Pan's unkind words about Tay Ying's past relationship

The second incident involved Tay Ying's past relationship.

Pan allegedly said some hurtful words about her past relationship -- words which Tay Ying carried until today. It also hurt Zheng to see his daughter hurt.

Pan suggested Calvert Tay go for STD jab

Last of all, Hong alleged that during a meal with their clique, which both Pan and Hong attended in June 2018, Pan blabbed openly about the personal love life of Hong’s son, Calvert Tay.

At the meal, Pan supposedly suggested that Tay go for a sexually-transmitted disease (STD) inoculation jab.

Aside from that, SMDN mentioned that Pan aired her supposedly intolerable views on relationships between youngsters, which triggered Zheng Geping as well.

According to SMDN, it was this third incident that triggered Hong to send out the mass WhatsApp rant.

"Don't try to seek out friends to rescue you"

SMDN added that Hong ended her rant with a reminder to Pan not to seek out friends to rescue her from her predicament as this was a matter between the two of them.

Pan initially did not reply and hung up on SMDN when a reporter called her for her comment.

However, a July 23 Facebook post by SMDN wrote that Pan eventually replied: “Let’s just let time heal all wounds”.
