Dead cat found inside a carrier next to flowers & food in Yishun

A slew of dead cats have been found in Yishun from 2017 to 2018:

And now, yet another dead cat has been found. This time, at Yishun Avenue 9, Block 250.

Found in carrier

The cat was discovered in a carrier at the ground level.

Its head was wounded.

Strangely enough, there were also some joss sticks, food and flowers placed near the carrier.

Bloodstains were also present in the immediate area.

It is unclear what exactly happened as no additional details about the case are known.

In response to queries from Mothership, a spokesperson from the Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority of Singapore stated that they are "investigating this case."

The AVA spokesperson also advised the public to "refrain from speculation":

"AVA is investigating this case. We will appreciate it if the public refrain from speculation as not all animal deaths are due to animal cruelty."
