David Gan backs up Pan Lingling, talks about dangers of using public toilets

Purple is a terrible colour.

So, if you guys haven't been keeping up with the most exciting drama to come out of Mediacorp since Holland V, check out these articles.

Basically, Hong Huifang sent a text message to 50 people exposing Pan Lingling for being a bully to her and her son.

Pan also supposedly blabbed openly about the personal love life of Hong’s son, Calvert Tay.

She specifically warned him to get an sexually-transmitted disease (STD) inoculation jabcheck due to his alleged relationship with Julie Tan, a claim which Pan has denied.

This was apparently due to Tan's past relationships.

Pan subsequently apologised to both Tan, and her parents, for those statements.

Cool, everything's settled right?

Gan, gan, gannnn

Enter David Gan, celebrity hairstylist, close friend of Pan’s and real queen of Caldecott.

He took to Instastory on July 28, 11 pm, to post this message, which was for some reason written in purple font.

Here's what it said.

I’ve known you since the 90s and she has always been very traditional and altho some might find her old fashion, I on the other hand know her well enough and always find her naivety and very endearing.

I’m pretty certain that if she was a wild child during her younger days she would have taken numerous big overseas gigs but instead she stayed pure and believed in chastity before marriage which in my honest opinion is not really a possible reality in this day and age la!

God bless her heart (heart sign). Every mother would be protective over their kids and warn them to take care when going into a public toilet. If it’s impossible to avoid a public toilet then just clean properly before entering k?

That should sufficiently protect them from anything bad right? Anyway I dunno about public toilet and it’s not my prerogative. Poor mummy (heart sign) You should definitely continue to believe in yourself and if you think it is wrong then stand by it no matter what k? I’ll be here for you dear friend!

Jia you.

The message basically pimps up Pan's pure and traditional image while alluding to the dangers of someone's children using public toilets.

Innuendo

Whatever double entendre Gan might have been gunning for in his message, again for some reason written in purple, it might be useful to look at some sentiments Tan had expressed in an earlier interview with Shin Min Daily News on July 24.

Tan said: "I envy her (Pan) for being lucky enough to fall in love and have a happy marriage with her first boyfriend, but I wasn't so lucky. I had to go through a few relationships to understand myself and find the right partner."

She also questioned why women have to bring each other down, considering all the discrimination they were still facing.

Basically, don't slut-shame, no one wins.
