First cat festival in S’pore with vendors, talks, & adoption drive on July 14 — 15, 2018

Good news for cat lovers: For the first time ever, Singapore will be having a cat festival from July 14 to 15, 2018 at Leisure Park Kallang.

Organised by FurFlr (an online directory for pet owners and pet-related businesses in Singapore) with support from the Cat Welfare Society, the festival aims to bring together cat owners, lovers and enthusiasts.

And yep, admission is free.

Plus, cat owners will also be able to bring down their cats to the festival, although they will have to be contained in secure transport crates or carriers.

All other pets are banned so as to avoid causing unnecessary distress to the cats.

Plenty of cat-related things on sale

The festival will feature educational talks, workshops, sharing sessions, and a variety of local and international vendors selling cat-related products.

Expect to find pet food brands such as Asuku from Japan with their selection of fish treats, as well as local company Raw Instinct with premium frozen cat food.

There will also be vendors selling cat-themed trinkets and souvenirs:

  • Grand lucky draw (register here to participate)

In response to Mothership‘s queries, the Singapore Cat Festival added that the public will be able to meet some of the therapy cats that Cat-Assisted Therapy Singapore (CATS) uses, such as those seen below:
