U.S. State Department lists S'pore as a part of M'sia

Americans still trying to figure out where S'pore is.

The U.S. State Department's transcript of Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's remarks at a press briefing incorrectly listed Singapore as part of Malaysia.

Americans googled for where Singapore is

Previously, in the lead up to the the long-awaited summit between U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, there was a sharp spike in Google searches for "Where is Singapore?" in the U.S.

In contrast, the search term "Where is Singapore located?" has been a more stable search over the past year.
