The moment has arrived and come to pass.
United States President Donald Trump has finally met up with North Korea Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un.
The meeting took place a little past 9am on June 12 at the Capella Hotel Sentosa.
As the pair sat down for the customary photo op for the press before the commencement of the summit, a reporter asked Trump how he was feeling and this was what was said:
Trump:
"I feel really great. We're going to have a great discussion. I think... tremendous success. It will be tremendously successful. And it's my honour and we will have a terrific relationship, I have no doubt."
Kim:
"Well, it was not easy to get here. The old prejudices and practices worked as obstacles, but we have overcome them and we are here today."
And in response to Kim, Trump replied: "That's true."
Trump then offered his hand for a handshake which Kim took.
Not easy indeed.
