For some reason, some people try to throw themselves onto moving cars sometimes:

In another instance posted to Facebook group SG Road Vigilante, there have allegedly been three separate incidents of rocks being thrown onto moving cars on the Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE).

This is the spot:

Windscreen smashed

The most recent occurrence reportedly happened on June 19, at about 5.50am.

In the same post, a video was also uploaded of the incident where the rock can be seen falling from the second flyover, smashing the windscreen of the car:

The rock was of considerable size and seemed to be part of a larger concrete slab:

Motorcycle skidded, severe abrasions

Similar incidents reportedly occurred on two other occasions.

On June 13, a motorcyclist travelling on AYE towards Tuas reportedly switched to lane one, only to encounter rocks about 70cm wide.

The motorcyclist then skidded on the rocks and suffered serious abrasions that required multiple sessions of skin grafting.

Third incident happened almost two years ago

Curiously enough, the earliest reported incident happened at 6.25am on Nov. 11, 2016.

That's around one and a half years ago, but the circumstances remained largely similar: Same venue and in the early hours of the morning.

However, in this incident, the rock was covered in newspaper, leading the driver to deduce that it was a deliberate act.

Here's the driver's account of the incident:

The driver also mentioned that she lodged a police report, but the case was concluded with no action taken.

Road vigilantes are urging drivers to keep a lookout for suspicious characters should they use the flyover in the early hours of the morning.
