Sometimes, finding private-hire drivers or taxi drivers in the middle of the night can be a pain in the neck.

"Awesome" Grab driver

But not for one Pearleen Meixin, who encountered a Grab driver whom she describes in her Facebook post about him as "awesome".

In the wee hours of June 20, Meixin booked a Grab home from somewhere else. She boarded the car at 1:33am, according to a screenshot accompanying her post.

She writes that it was already close to 2am when she reached her destination, and she was shocked when the Grab driver offered to wait for the lift with her — and it appears he got out of the car and did just that.

Shocked by kind gesture

This small yet meaningful gesture took Pearleen by surprise, as according to her, this was the first time she had encountered a Grab driver as thoughtful as him.

Here's what she wrote:

"This grab driver is awesome! Why? Because he offer to wait for the lift with me as it was like around 2am. Shocked with the gesture as this is the first time I encounter this. Grab should reward nice driver like them???"

Five-star service indeed.
