Tourist asks if dinosaurs in Universal Studios S'pore are real, spawns service industry stories

Mind-boggling.

Working in the service industry can be life-endangering sometimes:

Or it could just be mentally exhausting.

Especially when the industry staff have to answer some very, very, strange questions from customers.

Jurassic park ride

It started on May 5, when Twitter user @Advmdv posted a screenshot of an Instagram message between a friend and himself.

Being a service industry staff, the friend was sharing about an encounter he had with a customer:

In case you can't see the tweet:

Here's a translation of the message:

"Sometimes you have to be patient with their stupidity.

There was one Indian national customer.

That time I work at Jurassic Park ride there.

Then he asked me whether the dinosaur was real or a statue.

I felt like slapping the customer."

With over 2,000 retweets, the anecdote inspired other Singaporeans to share their own experience of working in the service industry.

"What time will the rain stop?"

Strangely enough, one of the more common requests include asking the service personnel to change or predict the weather.

Yeah. You read that right.

The staff, however, had a sense of humour and responded to these questions anyway.

"What time is the 11am show?"

Meanwhile, another group of tourists left the following staff stumped by asking questions like "What time is the 11am show?"

Other mind-boggling questions

And let's just have a moment of silence for these otherworldly questions.

Oh well, as long as the tourists had fun at these attractions ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
