The Immigration & Checkpoints Authority in Singapore has given the all-clear on May 8 for traffic at land checkpoints towards Johor Bahru, Malaysia:
Malaysians are expected to head home in droves on May 8 and 9, the actual polling day, to vote in the GE14, otherwise known as the 14th Malaysian General Election.
The ICA shared the post at 10.24pm.
It said social media posts alleging travellers heading up north and getting stranded are not true.

However, a check with the live video screen shots on the onemotoring.com.sg site showed traffic into JB was relatively clear by 11pm at the Woodlands Causeway and Second Link at Tuas, with no signs of any traffic build-up:
Moreover, roadworks on the Causeway connecting JB and Singapore have been completed, a Johor Public Works Department official said on May 5, amid concerns that Malaysians returning to vote on May 9 may be delayed.
The Johor official explained that the Causeway was under the purview of highway concessionaire Plus Expressways Berhad.
