Or when local TV's Gif(ed) Queen Paige Chua lost the Best Actress award to Rebecca Lim:
Master Shade-Thrower Rui En was also missing in action, depriving us of an otherwise-healthy dose of Monday water-cooler gossip. Instead we were subjected to a hologram of her spouting vague truisms.

But this year's arguably lacklustre Star Awards was made slightly more palatable by amusing running commentary on the sartorial choices of the shiny people on TV... on Twitter.
