The police are looking for the e-scooter rider who knocked down an elderly woman at Blk 538 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 5 on Tuesday, April 17.

What was he wearing

According to the police, he was last seen wearing a black helmet, black long-sleeved T-shirt, denim shorts, slippers and carrying a black-and-red haversack.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Sharon Sim, the elderly woman’s daughter, said that her mother had exited the lift at Blk 538 at 5.25pm when she was hit from behind.

The elderly woman and rider fell to the ground. Even though the elderly woman grabbed the rider, he rode off.

The woman's husband gave chase but failed to catch up with the rider.

According to Sim, her mother sustained a cut on her and bruises on her knee, elbow and ribs.

Sim wrote: “You’ve scarred (my mother’s) face permanently and prominently. Should u choose to hide, I hope nothing similar happens to your loved ones and that u sleep well at night. By hiding, you’re also smearing the reputation of those who ride responsibly.”
