Indoor playgrounds are supposed to be a safe place for children to have fun with other kids.
However, it was proven otherwise for one Ow May Chen, who claimed that her son was "pushed, kicked, rough handled" by another parent when she brought her two children to an indoor playground in Yishun.
Allegedly physically assaulted
According to Ow's original post, she had brought her two children, including five-year-old Dexter, to Sunshine Childhood Playground.
She was away from Dexter for about two minutes when the man began to physically assault her son.
Here's a CCTV footage of the incident that happened on April 9 around 1.25pm:

In the video, Dexter was seen approaching a man who was with a woman and two young children.
Pushed, kicked and threw toys away
However, he was pushed and kicked away.
The man was also seen throwing the toy shovel in a fit of anger.
Dexter then began to hit the man, who retaliated by pushing him towards the slide.
In another burst of anger, the man threw a toy that his own son was playing with across the playpen.
However, once Ow returned to her son, the man merely stood up in an attempt to prevent Dexter from walking towards his own son.

Reactions
The post garnered more than 2,000 reactions and 5,000 shares and as expected, a number of Singaporeans began to berate the man for attacking the kid.
"Definitely a coward, pick someone your own size."
"So what if the boy is naughty and mischievous he is only 5, the horrible part is when an adult behave like another 5 yr old."
Some, however, felt that the 5-year-old child and his mother were partly at fault too.
One thought the child was wrong for hitting the man too.
"Tbh the kids an a**hole too. No matter how old you are, its never right to hit someone and if the kid thinks its okay to walk around randomly hitting people, it kinda speaks of the upbringing ?"
While another group of people were saying that she should be watching and controlling her son.
"You should have been watching your child. Period. You are as wrong as the other parent."
"Sorry to say the mother has to control the son as well. Then this kind of thing would not happen."
Away for only 90 seconds
Ow, however, responded to these questions by explaining that her son is autistic and that she was away for only 90 seconds.
"A (sic) autistic child is v innocent, he does not even know he is being bully, that hurt me more. Wat he wan is just a toy that they occupied."
Ow said that she had confronted the man who later denied ever touching her son.
"I m 90 seconds away from him, all the while I m with him. i hv confront him but he deny touching my son."
Others were also curious about the boy's current well-being and were told by the child's father that he, fortunately, is okay and only mentioned that the man was "very angry".
"He is ok. He only mentioned the uncle very angry."
Responsible for 90 seconds away
The post has since been updated with the video removed, citing the reason that it has caused "unnecessary inconvenience to the playground owner".
Ow also mentioned that her family has lodged a police report and is taking responsibility for the short "lapse of supervision".
"We are just so shocked and sad after watching (the) CCTV footage."
