According to Shin Min Daily News, Sun Ho appeared at a Saturday, Feb. 3 service, marking the first time she appeared publicly after the conclusion of the long-running City Harvest Church (CHC) trial.

She was reportedly in a jovial mood, as she thanked the congregation more than 10 times in five minutes.

Thanked congregation

The Chinese media said the 5pm service was packed and Ho appeared on stage at 6pm to thunderous applause.

She immediately spoke about the conclusion of the trial and and thanked the congregation for standing by the CHC team.

Ho also thanked the crowd on behalf of Kong Hee, who is now serving his sentence.

She also thanked other family members.

SMDN reported that there was even time for a joke as Ho compared the usage of the word "blessed" in a Bible scripture to the often used Chinese New Year greeting "huat".

Serial thanking continued

In a Sunday service on Feb. 4 morning, Ho reportedly continued her thanking spree.

The Chinese paper said she thanked the congregation some 20 times in two minutes on this second occasion.

She also hoped City Harvest could start afresh.
