Last year, 57-year-old Linda wowed the whole of Singapore during Chinese New Year with one of the most elaborate decorations you'd ever see along a HDB corridor.

This year, she has outdone herself.

Just see the decorations for yourself:

The moment you step out of the lift, you'll see these four Dalmatian puppies welcoming you:

As you explore the beautiful decorations, you would notice cute Dalmatian puppies on the wall near the staircase to the right.

Linda was inspired by her workplace -- Changi Airport's Sunflower Garden -- and she wanted to recreate one right at her doorstep.

Why and how long has she been decorating her corridor?

Linda told Mothership.sg that she began decorating her common corridor about seven years ago.

Linda believed that her decorations brought cheer to her late father, who was visiting her at the time.

Since then, she would put up decorations every CNY to bring joy to everyone around her.

For the Year of Dog, Linda has been conceptualising and sourcing for materials since last December.

She has become environmentally-conscious and have reused items from last year.

Here’s a carton box from last year which she turned it into a dog kennel:

Linda also shared that she has a whole set of 101 Dalmatian dogs collectables which she collected from McDonald's promotion in the past.

In fact, she got her friends and family to eat 101 McDonald's meals.

You can see some of the collectables in the kennel here:

Why 101 Dalmatian dogs?

Linda hopes that anyone who walks through the corridor will have a prosperous year and huat 101 times as dogs' barking sounds like huat (wang4 旺) in Mandarin.

She is a thoughtful neighbour too.

She decorated the corridor after seeking her Muslim neighbours' permission. And hence, the cartoon and movie-focused theme.

You can also look forward to future decorations, as she told us that she already had ideas for the next two years.
