i Light 2018 is returning from March 9 to April 1 with 22 installations.

And for the first time, the artwork will extend beyond Marina Bay to Esplanade Park, where six installations will be on display.

Here's a look at some of the installations that will be available this year:

Among the 22 installations, nine are from Singapore.

And among the nine, six are by students from local institutions such as Nanyang Polytechnic, Nanyang Technological University, LASALLE, and Raffles College of Higher Education.

The exhibits, which are designed with energy-saving lighting, recycled or environmentally-friendly materials, aim to encourage festival goers to adopt sustainable habits, although we foresee the message being lost in a flurry of photos.

Besides art, there will also be GastroBeats, which takes care of the food part, and Art-Zoo, a bouncy, inflatable park.

Here's a map of the event:

When: March 9 to April 1, 2018.

The installations will be available for viewing/ photo-taking from 7.30pm to 11pm daily but it’s extended to 12 midnight on Friday and Saturday nights
