Tucked away in an industrial estate in Tuas was a food stall known as Ridhuan's Muslim Delights.
It offered Chinese-style zi char dishes that were also halal for Muslim customers.
Love Story
The owner is a cook named Muhammad Ridhuan Kho, and according to this post by Facebook user Tee Tony, he has an interesting backstory.
A Chinese man from Sarawak, he found work as a cook in Singapore. In 2010, he met a Malay-Muslim woman here and they fell in love.
He decided to convert to Islam, and the couple got married in 2014.
Kho initially gave up his job as a cook when he got married, but when his first child was born, he went back to cooking to make ends meet.
He found another cooking job at a halal certified food stall in Tuas, but gave that up too after a dispute with the owner.

Left on his own, Kho managed to go it alone and open up his own food stall with an investment from a grocery supplier.
It paid off, and Kho was able to share his tasty creations like sambal fried rice, crispy seafood noodle, butter cream chicken, and salted egg chicken with his hungry customers.
The Facebook post shared by Tee Tony went viral, garnering almost 4,500 shares and bringing lots of attention to Kho's stall and his story.
Move to the North
On Jan. 27, 2018 Kho announced that his stall will be moving to a new location in Woodlands.
The last day for the food stall at Tuas was given as Feb. 13, and the new stall, called Wow Wok, will open its doors on March 1, 2018.
Wow Wok's address was given as:Harvest@Woodlands
280 Woodlands Industrial Park E5
#01-47, Singapore 57322
If Kho's success at Tuas was anything to go by, expect long queues to form up in Woodlands pretty soon.
