Here's another relatively affordable beef bowl in town: A S$19.90 lunch (11:30am to 3pm) set at Sandaime Bunji comes with a Wagyu round roast beef don, salad, tofu, and oxtail soup.

During dinner (5 - 11pm), however, the same set goes for S$24.80.
The don comes with 250g of beef — that's about twice the amount of beef in the average rice bowl. Wasabi and an egg complement the dish.
Considering the portions, it might get a bit heavy towards the end of the meal, so it might be a good idea to share.

Other lunch sets include the Beef Tendon Curry Rice (S$12.90/S$8.90 a la carte), Wagyu Sukiyaki Set (S$19.90/S$15.90 a la carte), and Yakiniku Don (S$17.90/S$13.90 a la carte).
Another plus point: The restaurant is furnished Japanese-style, and you can even choose to sit on tatami (a Japanese mat, traditionally made from straw) or Zabuton (a Japanese cushion).
