Pasir Ris Central Hawker Centre is finally open on Jan. 25, 2018.

Supposed to open in August 2017

Initially scheduled to open in August 2017, the delay was caused by the installation of the gas supply.

Managed by NTUC Foodfare, the two-level hawker centre offers both traditional food stalls and hipster cuisine.

42 stalls

The hawker centre houses 42 stalls, with the ground floor hosting 20 stalls that offer local street staples, and cheaper and healthier options.

Stalls on the second floor will serve non-traditional food, and feature craft markets and art workshops.

The new hawker centre will have a seating capacity of about 770.

Cheaper fare

Selected aspiring hawkers have set up shop under the hawker-preneurship programme.

This allows the stalls to be set up at a lower cost.

The hawker centre will also offer affordable fare, costing S$2.80 and below.

As with many newer public hawker centres, diners are encouraged to return their own tray and crockery after use.

It will be open from 7am to 10.30pm daily.
