For some strange reason, an epidemic of ofo bicycles without their saddles (the part you sit on) has been unfolding recently:
This was found at a bus stop along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3, with the saddle of the bike inside its basket.
And this was found at Khatib, with its seat nowhere in sight.
This user said he found a stray saddle somewhere else and so tied it to a bike that was marked as faulty:
While in May last year, a user found an oBike in the same situation in Bukit Panjang:But this takes the cake
We were recently tipped off by a local bike-sharing community called bikesharing.sg about a Carousell user who not only found two disembodied ofo saddles, but instead decided to, inexplicably, put them up for sale.
Because of course, making money is the main priority, as opposed to, say, reporting it to ofo (or even disregarding them like most other folks would have done):
The user also priced them at S$15 each.
In an edit to his or her product description, the user makes it clear that the saddles were found, and not detached by him or her.
There are also no public comments on the post at the time we were working on this story.
And in case you were wondering if this fella's a weirdo in general, not really — the rest of the user's Carousell product listings are relatively normal with items like clothes and gadgets.
