NTU student arrested for allegedly molesting male teenager under the guise of research project

Both parties were Singaporean.

The police confirmed with Mothership.sg that a 25-year-old Nanyang Technology University (NTU) graduate student has been arrested for outrage of modesty involving a 17-year-old male.

The alleged perpetrator had molested the teenager under the guise of a body stimulation research project, where he also blindfolded and restrained the victim to a bed for two hours.

The Straits Times understands that both parties involved are Singaporean.

It is unclear whether there are more victims than the reported case.

Under section 354 and 354A of the penal code, those convicted of outrage of modesty will be liable to a jail term ranging from 2 to 10 years with caning.
