It's a popular street food that can be found at almost every night market.

S$6.90 for 130g of Angus rib-eye

Named Huoyanshaiziniu (Mandarin for "flamed, diced beef"), the popular Taiwanese street food will be opening at the basement of Plaza Singapura on Jan. 20, 2018.

According to The Straits Times, the beef steak cubes are first grilled before being torched and sprinkled with seasoning.

It will cost S$6.90 for 130g of Angus rib-eye, one of the founders shared with ST.

There is also the option of having it with Japanese rice, and it will be priced at S$8.

In comparison, a Tori-Q set (kushiyaki with rice) starts from S$6+.

There are three seasoning choices as of now, with more to be introduced in the future.

They are seaweed powder, garlic powder, and yakitori sauces.

Both founders, Cheo Tian Feng and Sean Lee, are young Singaporean males, aged 21 and 23 respectively.

The pair of friends decided on the venture while in National Service, and even registered their company on their operationally ready date (ORD).

When their original plan for franchising fell through, they decided to come up with their own version.

They have since trademarked their brand in South-east Asia.

The duo forked out around S$250,000.

With over 700 shares on its announcement post from three days ago, it's looking to be popular.
