Fans might have already heard about it by now, but a Final Fantasy café is popping up briefly in town from Jan. 24 to Feb. 10.

During this period, Watanabe Coffee, located at Shaw House on Orchard Road (near Shaw Lido Theatres and Isetan) will be transformed into a Final Fantasy wonderland, complete with a menu, coasters and other premiums — all to promote the upcoming Dissidia Final Fantasy NT fighting game coming to PlayStation 4.

It's open from noon on Wednesday, and for the rest of the period, at 11am.

Unlike the more varied food offerings one might see in pop-cafes in Japan, this one is a bit more limited — the set menu contains one dish, which is Moogle Curry & White Stew, and one drink, which retails at S$28.90.

For drinks, you can choose from either Moogle and Materia, or other normal drinks that are also available such as iced tea, latte, soft drinks, Japanese tea and so on.

There are six different types of Final Fantasy coasters and premiums that come with each order of food or drinks as well, given out "at random", it seems.

Now, in case you're wondering, Watanabe's normal cafe menu will be available as per normal from 8am to 11am.

Eager fans can rest assured, though, that they'll have lots of time until the cafe closes at 10 pm (Sun-Thurs), or at 11 pm (Fri-Sat and Eve of public holiday).

No time to eat? Don't worry, you can also walk in to buy merchandise if that's all you have time for (or if the meal looks too steep for your liking).

These come in limited stocks, however, so be sure to get them early if you're eyeing any particular character or product.
