All ComfortDelGro taxis will have surge pricing.
It will be called UberFlash.
UberFlash will start at 6am on Friday, Jan. 19, 2018.
Cheaper fares
Commuters will be able to see UberFlash trip fares before they request a ride.
Fares will be cheaper by 5 to 10 percent on average compared to an uberX ride.

Base fare: S$3
Distance fare per kilometre: S$0.45
Time fare per minute: S$0.20
Other charges
Wait time fee: $0.20 per minute after three minutes
Cancellation fee: S$6 after five minutes
Metered fare option offered by ComfortDelGro ranges from S$3.20 to S$3.90.

Joint venture
ComfortDelGro and Uber have formed a joint venture.
Both companies had announced in December 2017 they had entered into a strategic agreement to form a joint venture.
ComfortDelGro will acquire a 51 percent stake in Uber's wholly owned subsidiary Lion City Holdings for S$642 million. The deal is subject to regulatory approval.
