Heavy thundery showers fell over almost all parts of Singapore on Monday morning, Jan. 8, 2018, resulting in massive ponding, which turned many vehicles into submarines.

One of the most flooded areas was Upper Changi Road, where water was knee-deep, which rendered roads impassable.

Changi Fire Station

However, the scene of the worst flooding is also the one that received the most immediate help -- as it was just outside Changi Fire Station.

Various videos and photos posted online showed the Singapore Civil Defence Force personnel from Changi Fire Station waddling in the floodwaters to push stranded vehicles and divert traffic.
