llaollao fans, brace yourselves.
The latest development in popular F&B brands getting unceremoniously replaced or suddenly shut down sees Spanish frozen yogurt chain llaollao closing down from Thursday, Dec. 7 onwards.
Yes, that's tomorrow.
According to Channel NewsAsia, D+1 Holding, the company behind llaollao Singapore, has terminated its franchise with llaollao Spain.
The reason for this is reportedly unknown.
All of llaollao’s existing outlets will, however, be converted to a European frozen yogurt called Yolé (which is pronounced yo-lay) by Saturday, Dec. 9.
There is already a Facebook page and Instagram account for Yolé Singapore, counting down to its official opening:
Besides frozen yogurt, Yolé will also be serving a coconut soft-serve ice cream.Prices of Yolé items will range from S$2.50 to S$6.95 for tubs and smoothies.
A D+1 Holding spokesperson was quoted saying that Yolé will offer a wide selection of toppings and a variety of frozen yogurt flavours, made with ingredients sourced from Italy and Spain.
Whether it’ll be as successful as llaollao has been here is anybody’s guess.
Bye llaollao, you'll be missed.
