Spanish frozen yogurt chain llaollao will be coming back to Singapore.
In a Facebook post on Dec. 12, 2017, the former froyo leader announced it is "far from finished" here.
This was after its 29 Singapore outlets closed and was replaced by another froyo brand, Yole, by Dec. 9.
The post said the closure was "disappointing" and an "unilateral decision" on the part of its master franchisee.
The former master franchisee of llaollao in Singapore is D+1 Holding.
Keeping llaollao in Singapore
llaollao said the company with which it had been developing its brand in Singapore had "unilaterally decided" to close all the establishments in the country and reopen them under the Yole Frozen Yogurt brand.
"We are working to keep llaollao in the country and to guarantee that the brand continues to be a leader in the frozen yogurt market, as we achieved thanks to you. We will be back with new stores soon, much sooner than you can expect," it added.
The brand also emphasised that it had "absolutely nothing" to do with its replacement, telling fans that llaollao will return to claim its rightful place as the "leader in the frozen yogurt market".
While llaollao sounded confident of its future plans, no exact date was given.
llaollao draws the line
The lengthy Facebook post also drew a line between llaollao and Yole, saying that they have absolutely nothing to do with each other.
The product that is served in the establishments, since December 7, has nothing to do with us, llaollao, with our official network of suppliers or with our quality systems.
Some of the new Yolé outlets might still have available stock of some llaollao product, but in any case, the Yolé establishments do not have and will not be able to have the frozen yogurt and the rest of llaollao products.
But perhaps llaollao might pull a Gong Cha and come back under a new franchise, who knows?

Shade thrown at Yole
Besides making these clarifications, llaollao also couldn't resist drawing first blood, calling Yole a "totally new brand":
It is a totally new brand in the frozen yogurt market that does not exist in Europe, even though it has been advertised as such.
What is clear is that Yole exists outside of Singapore -- in Taiwan -- but Yole reportedly sources ingredients from Italy and Spain.
All these shots fired have made us feeling a tad hot.
Froyo, anyone?
