But at CATfeine, a cafe in Bukit Timah, your waffles look like this:

<Sweet Summer at CATfeine> ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 📍CATfeine 📍 182 Jalan Jurong Kechil, 01-50, The Hillford, 598578 📍Mondays, Wednesdays to Fridays: 8AM to 8.30PM, Saturdays: 9AM to 9.30PM Sundays: 9AM to 7PM, Tuesdays: Closed ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Located along the quiet street of Jalan Jurong Kechil, CATfeine is a cozy, relatively new cafe that does not particularly stand out if you are just walking past the area. Contrary to it's name, we hardly found any trace of cat theme on their menu. The cafe was rather small and pretty much most of the things were done self-service. We chanced upon this cafe while doing research for good cafes in Singapore, and we decided to give it a go because of how photogenic the waffles looked in pictures. When we reached there, we were quite disappointed to be informed that the lavender flavour softserve was not available at that time - seemingly the most commonly ordered flavour. Having said that, the waffles served were HUGE and sufficiently for 2 to 3 pax. They were already really generous with the fruit toppings, almost burying half of the plate. While not the best, the waffles were decently fluff and crispy. On hindsight, the waffles actually melted quite readily once I put them in my mouth. This cafe is definitely a good place to chill on a quiet afternoon, with decent food and a cozy place to enjoy some peace.

At S$16 (+$3 for ice-cream), the WAHHH-fruits (above) is not exactly cheap, but we understand the servings are huge and can feed two or three people.

The Sweet Summer Waffle (S$15, pictured above) comes with orange, grapefruit, fresh berries, and honey earl grey lavender ice-cream.

And hey, you don't have to be a fruit nut to eat here — if you aren't the type who believes fruit will offset the sin of eating waffles, they also have Honey B (S$11), which comes with honey, butter, biscuit crunch, and sea-salt caramel ice-cream:

KayaGooYoo (S$12, pictured above) is served with butter and kaya, plus vanilla ice-cream topped with whipped cream and half a peach to resemble a half-boiled egg.

And for those of you going "Well, I'm not a waffle person", they also have salads, pies, and breakfast food items on their menu, with prices ranging from S$6.50 to S$20.

Add their decent selection of coffee and tea to the mix and you have a cafe that could potentially stand out from its competitors.
