The Razer Phone has been launched in the United States and Europe to some rave reviews on Nov. 1, 2017.

Razer is a US- and Singapore-based gaming accessories company.

It is seeking an initial public offering (IPO) that will make its CEO, Singaporean Tan Min-Liang, a billionaire, giving the 39-year-old a net worth of more than US$1.2 billion.

Here is the video showcasing the phone:

Here are the specs with some commentary:

• 5.7-inch 1440p screen (Smooth graphics)

• 8GB of RAM (Quite common for high-end Android phones)

• 64GB of expandable storage (Okay)

• Stereo front-facing speakers with Dolby Atmos support (Appeals to audiophiles)

• 4,000mAh battery (Generous)

• Qualcomm Quick Charge 4 technology (Recharging less of a hassle)

• Snapdragon 835 processor (Quite normal these days)

• Dual 12-megapixel camera system on the back: One camera has an f/1.8 lens for wide shots and the other is a telephoto f/2.6 shooter (Works along the same lines as Apple’s iPhone setup)

• Absent headphone jack (A bit strange)

• Has THX-certified audio dongle to attach headphones for 24-bit audiophile-quality sound (A bit ugly)

• Software: Android Nougat 7.1.1 with Google Assistant (To be expected)

• Premium version of the Nova Launcher preloaded (Very customisable)

• Overall look is black and blockish (A bit ugly)

• US$700 in US/ €750 in Europe/ £700 in the UK sold directly from Razer’s online store or Amazon.com (High-end Android market)

• Asia launch plans to be announced at a later date
