If you ever needed the definition of "basic", Marina Square has got you covered this weekend.
From now till Nov. 19, a whimsical food fair at their central atrium will feature everything from mini unicorn cakes to DIY galaxy cakes.
Here'a a list of physically attractive food to check out at the event:
1) DIY galaxy cake/Unicorn cake by Boufé boutique cafe
Design your own universe with Creating Cosmos (S$12.90), where you'll get to pour the glaze over a cake of white chocolate yogurt mousse and tangy calamansi jelly.

Note that Creating Cosmos is limited to 70 orders a day, on a first-come-first-serve basis.
They also have a Mini Unicorn Cake (S$9) with a profile flavour based on popular Thai dessert mango sticky rice:
2) Rainbow and pastel everything by Rainbow Works
Starlite (S$9.90) is a pastel-coloured strawberry milkshake topped with marshmallows and cereal to resemble a unicorn. It comes in other flavours as well, such as lavender and bubblegum.
Rainbow egglets that are strawberry, blueberry, pandan, and original flavoured all at once.

One-in-a-melon ($9.90) features watermelon soft serve between slices of real watermelon and studded with chocolate "seeds".
If you don't like watermelon, you can choose to go for Corn-fuse (S$9.90):
And even though this isn't pastel, the 24k Gold Ice Cream ($10.90) is still a thing.

3) Cake pops by Shaun Teo Creations

These are S$4 to S$6 a pop and are made with white chocolate and fondant encasing chocolate, vanilla, or red velvet cake.
4) Rainbow egg rolls by WaTamago
The Rainbow Tamagoyaki(S$6) is an egg roll with ham in the middle, and you can choose from toppings of toasted seaweed, bonito flakes, or crispy chicken floss. Finish it with a sauce like mentaiko mayo (+S$0.50).
