Alleged serial cat adopter adopts kittens from Carousell, dumps them in Yishun

At least two other cat owners have encountered the same man.

On the morning of Nov. 3, 2017, Dusugal Cindy Chan was doing her routine dog walk at the rooftop garden of her Yishun residence when she found two abandoned kittens.

She then alerted her neighbour, Khadijah Mokhtar, who headed over to rescue the felines with her husband and found out that the carrier has been fastened with a cable tie.

As fate would have it, she found the original owner of the kittens instead.

Abandoned by Carousell adopter

The original owner didn't abandon the cats, though.

According to the kittens' owner, she had put the kittens up for adoption on Carousell. The kittens were then given away to an interested adopter named Roy on Oct. 30, 2017.

He replied her that the felines are "getting used to his place".

Adopter was in Yishun as water there is "free"

When he was outed, Roy claimed that he was clearing things from his car and had forgotten to take the carrier along with him.

He explained that he was washing his vehicle in Yishun as the water is "free".

His priority, however, was his cage and not the well-being of the kittens he had adopted.

Not a one-off incident

Turns out, this unfortunate case was not a one-off incident.

A few other cat owners have chimed in, sharing that Roy is notoriously known to be a serial cat adopter.
