Police investigating brawl in St James Power Station club involving bouncers

A police officer was allegedly assaulted while trying to end the dispute.

What started out as a minor scuffle in a nightclub at St James Power Station turned into a large-scale fist fight.

The following videos shot in ENVY Dance Club has gone viral on Facebook.

Police officer assaulted

The fight, however, didn't appear to be just between patrons.

In the video, a number of men dressed in black suits are believed to be bouncers and can be seen getting involved in the melee.

Mothership.sg understands that the brawl happened when a police officer was conducting a routine patrol on Sunday morning, Nov. 12, 2017, around 4.30am.

The officer was allegedly assaulted by three individuals while trying to stop a dispute.

Appeal for witnesses

On Nov. 14, 2017, ENVY Dance Club released a statement on Facebook confirming that the club's staff were involved in the fight.

According to the club, "various perpetrators have already been taken down" and they are looking for "anyone with more information that can help".

The police are currently investigating the case.

Three people have been arrested for voluntarily causing hurt against a public servant.

Police said two 23-year-old men, and a woman, also 23, were nabbed for assaulting a police officer who was performing a routine patrol at the night spot.

The two men subsequently assaulted the officer who was trying to stop a dispute.

The woman allegedly also grabbed the officer and punched him.
