The Force Awakens in Juying Primary School, students treated to a starry surprise

I hear George Lucas wants to shoot the prequels for this too.

Growing up in Singapore, the best school days were those without any classes. The teachers usually put on a skit, talent show or some kind of dance contest. The hard truth was only revealed later, that all schools were too cheap to hire professional entertainers.

But it didn't matter if your teachers were the worst actors on the planet who couldn't be cast in a Michael Bay movie -- anything was better than sitting in the classroom. So we can all be jealous of the students of Juying Primary School, whose teachers went the extra mile and put on a Star Wars-themed show for Children's Day.

And this story ends as all the good ones do, with evil vanquished and friends living for another day.

Those Juying primary school kids are really lucky to have talented and passionate teachers. It sure beats watching a group of middle-aged teachers trying and failing to do the Macarena.
