Massive python, long enough to cover almost entire footpath, sighted in Sengkang Park

As it turns out, Sengkang Park is home to a very large python.

Facebook user Kanjo Zoku encountered the snake and shared photos of it on Facebook on Tuesday, which you can see below:

What to do if you encounter a snake

The reptile looks like a reticulated python — a rather large specimen of one, at that.

They're pretty common in Singapore, too — they're good swimmers and climbers, and eat rats and small mammals.

Also, they are not venomous, although like all large animals they can be dangerous if provoked into aggression.
