Update, Oct. 21, 3pm: Good news: 29-day cruise from S’pore to Alaska still available from S$4,581

A month-long cruise to Alaska sounds like part of a retirement plan.

But there is a direct cruise from Singapore that is turning an Alaska trip into one of your annual vacations.

Singapore to Alaska via cruise

On April 14, 2018, Princess Cruises will set sail from Singapore to Alaska. The journey will take a total of 29 days.

Along the way, it will stop at Vietnam, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, and several cities in Japan.

Prices start from S$4,520 per person, with taxes, fees, and port expenses at an additional S$591.51.

In comparison, a 15-day cruise from Tokyo to Alaska hovers around the same price.

The Golden Princess has a total of 1,300 cabins, of which 700 have balconies.

You can also extend the trip by another seven days to tour around Alaska for another S$1,160, which brings it to a total of 36 days.

This will allow you to explore the Hubbard Glacier, Glacier Bay National Park, Skagway, Juneau, and Ketchikan, before the tour ends in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Guess you better stop taking leave and start saving them up.

Or quit.

However, there are no more vacancies for the departing date on April 14, and the next available date is not indicated.
