Singapore may not have autumn, but all your pumpkin-spiced dreams are still coming true.
The Pumpkin Spice Latte, a famous fall-themed beverage by Starbucks, will be available in Singapore from Sept. 6, the official Starbucks Singapore Facebook page announced on Aug. 31.
Part of pop culture
The Pumpkin Spice Latte has been part of popular culture for a while.
Made from a "mix of traditional fall spice flavors, steamed milk, and espresso, topped with whipped cream and pumpkin pie spice" (yes, it even has its own Wikipedia page), it's become pretty much the seasonal drink the coffee chain makes every autumn in the West.
It looks something like this.
In popular culture, it's been frequently associated with suburban, Caucasian females.
The correlation is probably derived from the expensive, upper-class lifestyle the Starbucks brand represented.
And with that added magic of pumpkin spice in time for the fall season, it quickly became the hallmark of a "basic white girl".
if you say "pumpkin spice latte" in the mirror 3 times a white girl in yoga pants will appear & tell you all her favorite things about fall
