New supper delivery service delivers Swee Choon, Ponggol Nasi Lemak and more — no matter where you live

I don't know how, but they even serve up snow ice.

It's 1am and you're hungry. But you also feel fat, which is why you exercise your willpower to not order McDelivery — the only option available at this time.

Along comes Porterfetch, a homegrown supper delivery service that operates from 9pm to 3am (with plans to extend their hours soon).

Unlike UberEats, FoodPanda or Deliveroo, Porterfetch delivers from eateries all around the island, and not just those in your vicinity.

What's available

Their selection includes a wide range of local brick-and-mortar eateries, rather than focusing solely on chain restaurants.

Springleaf Prata Place, Swee Choon, Ponggol Nasi Lemak, Beach Road Scissor Cut Curry Rice, Founder Bak Kut Teh, Rochor Beancurd House, and Ming Fa Fishball are among the many options available.

Familiar names like Burger King, Starbucks, Mos Burger, and Chicken Up are also on the list — as long as they are open.

They even deliver from dessert parlours like Salted Caramel, Udders, and Dessert First. To see all the options available, you can check out their homepage here.

Fees

Now, of course there is a catch to this marvellous new thing. As a concierge service, Porterfetch charges 9 per cent of the bill for their service and a distance-based delivery fee starting at $5.

There is no minimum amount for an order to be met.

A mobile app for iOS is in the works and is slated for release at the end of the year. In the meantime, you'll need to use the service from your desktop or mobile browser.

Happy eating.
