Teachers' Day is a special occasion for students to express affection and appreciation for teachers, who have to deal with their underlings' nonsense the rest of the school year.
To commemorate the occasion, Temasek Polytechnic uploaded a video on their Facebook page on Aug. 28, featuring some lecturers and their students who find their roles being reversed.

The premise? Students teaching lecturers some millennial slang.
Needless to say, it went down hilariously.

Taking it lit-erally
So, the students presented a few millennial terms like "on fleek", "lit", "pops" and "low-key."
Of course, it gets taken at face value at first by the lecturers:
Other words though were pretty obvious to the teachers.
For the more obscure phrases, the students had a good time explaining to them what the newfangled phrases meant:

But being a teacher, eventually, they started questioning and even picking on the grammar of slang usage.
All in good fun, though.
And even admitting connecting with youngsters on this level changes the dynamics for the better.

The teachers enjoyed connecting with their students in this way, and the same could be said for their day-to-day interactions.
