We have made it through the 2017 National Day Rally, guys.
Singapore seems to be doing well. Which is great, because one of the main topics of this year’s Rally was how we can stay healthy till a ripe old age.
Specifically by not getting diabetes.
Yes, the war on diabetes is on.
And as with all the previous National Day Rallies (NDR), the PM gave us a glimpse into Singapore’s future.
There’ll be more and better preschools, and as a nation, we’ll be smart.

We have faith that as members of a future Smart Nation, you are pretty smart yourselves.
And that you have quality feedback to share about the topics covered during the NDR.

Do you agree with the PM and government’s take on Singapore’s future?
There are different ways of agreeing or disagreeing with the government and making your views matter.
Here’s what you can do.
1. Attend a public forum to air your views
Not sure what to do on a Wednesday evening?
There’s a public forum on August 23, 7pm to 9pm, where you can share your thoughts and ideas on issues the PM spoke about.
And since it’s a public forum, everyone will be forced to hear what you have to say, so you can feel important. And like your feedback really does matter.
2. Head down to a Listening Point
REACH, the Government Feedback Unit, regularly holds Listening Points (open-concept feedback booths), with people whose sole purpose there is to listen to you.
They’ll be happy to get your thoughts on the Rally, and any other feedback you may have as a Singapore citizen.
More details here.
3. Call in to a radio talk show
This is good for those who like to hear their radio voice.
On August 23, you can tune in to 938LIVE from 7.30am and Capital Radio 95.8FM from 8.15am.
They’ll be talking about the National Day Rally, and you can call in if you have something good to say.
4. Engage in a Facebook Live chat
Only for the intelligent kind of keyboard warriors, the socially-aware and #woke kind who have quality things to say.

There’ll be two Facebook Live chats -- an English one on August 25, 9pm to 10pm, on REACH’s Facebook page; and a Malay one on the August 22, 7.45pm to 8.45pm, on Berita Harian’s Facebook page.
In other words, you don’t even need to leave your house to make a change.
