NTU student implies those who eat using bare hands are less civilised, others fight back

Gotta hand it to them.

NTU Confessions is a Facebook page that allows NTU students to anonymously get stuff off their chest.

Most of their confessions seem to deal with some aspect of uni life in NTU.

Like these:

But once in a while, there will be a confession that seems to come completely out of left field.

This is one of them.

Here is the "confession":

In case you can't read it, here's what it says:

"Why do some people still eat with bare hands? Thats why i say some civilizations are more evolved than others. Not trying to be racist but.."

Now, while the post might provoke some form of disgust in those who are apparently being targeted in the confession, there's no need to worry, because the responses are absolutely golden.

Ever heard of a burger?

Some pointed out straightaway that every one of us would probably fall under the "lower civilization" label:

While others didn't think a fork and knife would be suitable for some culinary choices:

High-low

But the core of the issue wasn't that a person was interested in why people would eat with bare hands, but the implication that a culture, or civilisation is ultimately deemed inferior because of it.

Especially when the question had the most ironic of disclaimers.

At the end of the day, we all have to ask ourselves this question — would you fork your girlfriend?
