What would you do if you parked your car illegally or left it without a coupon and a Land Transport Authority enforcement officer took a photograph of your car?

One man decided that the best course of action was to accost the LTA officer, interrogate him while filming the two-minute process. The man claims he should be allowed to leave his car unattended while he went to throw rubbish.

Should the LTA officer have "pang chance"? Would others abuse the goodwill of enforcement officers subsequently?

The video was shared to the Singapore Taxi Driver Facebook page and most of the comments do not agree with the man's actions:

Kudos to the LTA officer, he kept his cool throughout despite being verbally abused by the man.

Here's a transcript of the exchange:

Man: I am telling you I stop my vehicle here because I throw rubbish. Ok, I want your name please. I want your name. I want your name. *sings* "I want your name."

LTA officer looks to be adjusting what looks like a body-camera.

Man: Record it down. I will *mumbled*. Ok? I will see the Prime Minister about this. People cannot stop to throw rubbish? And you want ... What is it you are going to say?

LTA officer: *inaudible*

Man: I just stop to throw rubbish.

LTA officer: You refer to LTA sir.

Man: Ya ya ya ya. But this is not your job to be like this. People cannot stop to throw rubbish. People cannot stop to go pee.

LTA officer: *inaudible*

Man: Eh, you use your brain lah!

LTA officer: If unattended, I straight enforce.

Man: Ah?

LTA officer: If unattended, I straight enforce.

Man: What unattended?

LTA officer: If you ... your vehicle ...

Man: I have to get out of my car and throw rubbish, correct or not? You want me to eat my rubbish? You want me to eat rubbish? People got eat rubbish not? You got shit or not?

LTA officer: No sir.

Man: You don't shit? Eh, you use your head a bit lah! Don't be bloody ridiculous. People park here to throw rubbish then you take photograph. You just wait, then what the hell is this for (pointing at empty parking spaces)?

I ask you what is this for? Why cannot throw rubbish?

LTA officer: Sir, *inaudible*, no waiting sir.

Man: I did not say I wait, I just park here to throw rubbish.

LTA officer: Ok for now I ...

Man: Ok what is my record? What is my bloody record? I want to take it up all the way because I don't care. I don't care because this is bloody ... what? Communist country?

LTA officer: No.

Man: Then?

LTA officer: Anything you can refer to LTA sir.

Man: Ok I want your name. This is rubbish *babbling* ridiculous. You know? People cannot walk, people cannot ... what is this? Eh this is like a communist country, you know?
