Yakult is one of the most well-loved brands of cultured milk drinks in Singapore.

First marketed in Japan in 1935, it is currently sold in many different countries, including Singapore since 1979.

While many of us grew up fighting over our favourite flavours drinking it, did you know, that Yakult's orange, apple and grape flavours are only available in Singapore?

That's right, you can't find these three flavours of Yakult anywhere else. Internationally, the only flavours for their cultured milk drinks you will find are variations of the plain flavour.

That is for their cultured milk drinks, however.

In Taiwan and Japan, Yakult also produces yoghurt drinks, which are much more colourful. Recently, Japan even had a rose-flavoured yoghurt drink, promoting Disney's Beauty and the Beast movie.

While we're not totally ahead of the flavour game, it's interesting that we have Yakult drinks unique to our location.

Now you know.
